So the recruitment channel gets moderated by GM Horse yesterday due to all the protests. The moment he unblocks it his words are "The next person to post anything unrelated to recruitment gets a 3 day ban" So, the channel says quiet for a good minute. I figure "Heck i'll break the ice and post a recruitment line"
My main is Ataxio, The CEO of Santouka Ramen, EvE Onlines first and only Ramen Establishment. Apparently GM Horses does not like ramen, nor does he have the time to investigate what players are saying. My next words are "So, who would like to make some ramen?" Simply clicking on my name would reveal at least 2 different plain as day indications that what was said, was an actual recruitment pitch. Instead, 3 seconds go by and GM Horse casually declares "And we have a winner" - banned for 3 days.
Now, I understand the GMs anger and frustration. I do not understand why I should be a public example or lose 3 days simply for recruiting in the recruitment channel. Because my methods are different, and unorthodox I pay the price. Because I choose not to use vanilla recruit macros, I get banned?
I do indeed have an active petition, but know full well it will not be addressed in 3 days time. Seems to me though that CCPs long arm of the law has gotten a bit too ban happy.

Sadly I have no log files of the incident. But it was plain as day in the recruitment channel. All he had to do was simply look at my name, my corp, my title, corp description, current recruitment posts... And I agree, if a GM is not taking the time to verify things. He is simply wildly swinging around a ban hammer in a vein attempt to control things.
If I do not receive any sort of compensation for the 3 days that will be lost, My account can be expected to stay inactive. Was contemplating it before all this noise, now I have a real excuse.

My petition was filed under the ban category. Can't even check it once its submitted due to the ban...
I highly doubt GM Horse will be removed from his position. It seems as though this is what CCP wants now.
CCP is not to be mocked. very srs business.

Fully understand how the comment may have been inappropriate. All depends on the person with the ban hammer. If you suck the fun out of the game and implant changes that dictate how you must speak... That is not EvE. I refuse to censor my self if I am following all the rules in the EULA and abiding by the demands of a GM.

Kerppe Krulli,
I have thought about taking legal action, but It has not yet come to that point. There is still a chance CCP can handle this situation with grace and keep my account active.
While the amount billed is trivial, It goes against my wishes and does indeed amount to theft. It is not my fault they have mismanaged the website to disallow banned players from stopping payment.

Meh, this threads a resounding success, blocked or not. I got what I wanted, which was to bounce my thoughts off the community. Can def wait 3 days as I hardly ever even play EvE anymore.
Can't really escalate a petition anymore then submitting it either. So not much else I can do then voice my opinion publicly.

How is asking for top quality ramen chefs a provocation?
After his warning I immediately ceased all protest comments and pitched a recruitment line. It is not my fault a GM can't fathom that.
Point being, if CCP can't take things with a grain of salt I'm not sure I belong here anymore.
